Die Geschichte von Phoenix
Der Nachrichtensender Phoenix wurde in den 90er Jahren von ARD und ZDF konzipiert um Live-Übertragungen aus dem deutschen Bundestag auszustrahlen, zu denen ergänzend Hintergrundberichte und Diskussionsrunden produziert werden sollte. Zunächst sendete Phoenix aus den Räumen des WDR in Köln, ehe er nach Bonn umzog.

Noch immer werden Live-Übertragungen aus der Politik gesendet, beispielsweise zu Parlamentssitzungen im Reichstag oder zuletzt bei den Auseinandersetzungen um das umstrittene Bahnprojekt Stuttgart 21. Zusätzlich produziert Phoenix eigene Studio-Sendungen wie die Talkshow Unter den Linden, Interviews mit Personen aus Politik und Wirtschaft, sowie Dokumentationen.
